A People Prepared For The Lord - by Mike Dietz

"The Finish Line" by Mike Dietz

"Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets." Amos 3:7

After reading this quote the other day I asked: “What are the prophets saying today? Are they saying the same thing?”  One thing they have been saying is to be prepared. I challenge you to go to your concordance and look at how many times our Lord has instructed his people to get ready for what is coming. I have included words from my Lord on future events for your review. Please do not take what I say as being the last word but search it out and see what the Lord is saying to each of you. If you agree with me then we need to be prepared. I wanted to enclose the dates so that you can see some have already started to take place.

July 15, 2008:

·         American will be defeated by our enemies.

The question is who is the enemy of America and how are they going to do this?

·         We will become like slaves.

What does a slave look and act like?

·         Our pride and arrogance will be broken.

We refuse to listen because we think we know all we need to know.

·         Life as we know it will change.

Ask yourself if your life has changed from July 2008?

·         Many Christians will be martyred.

We need to realize that to stand for Jesus will result in hardship, but God rewards those who do.

·         Our enemy will think he has defeated Christianity.

All we need to do is read the book of Revelation and we know the final outcome, but there will be the overwhelming threat and feeling that evil is winning.

March 3, 2009:

The way of the world is to use threats in getting God’s people to compromise what they believe.  The more we compromise the less we are noticed as God’s servants.

March 18, 2010:

I had a dream and in that dream these words came: “There was a proclamation made in heaven and there was much rejoicing in Heaven over it.” When I asked what was said I was told: “It doesn’t matter what was said. Just know that ‘it had happened.’”

May 2010:

"What does the Lord your God require of you? To pay close attention to what you hear; every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. The closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given—and you will receive even more. You must really believe it will happen. Jesus said, I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you've received it, it will be yours. Everything is possible for him who believes.” You must recognize that the Lord your God is not giving to you because you are good, for you are not. He has been humbling you and testing you to prove your character, to teach you that people do not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. You will be blessed if you obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today."

You can read the Scriptures from which this came from: Mark 4:24-25, Mark 9:23, Mark 10:27, Mark 11:22-24, 1 Samuel 15:29, Deuteronomy 8:2-3, Deuteronomy 9:4-6, Deuteronomy 10:12, Deuteronomy 11:26-28.

How does this all apply to us today?

We need to pay close attention to what God is and has been saying to each of us. We need to be like the people of Berea who searched the Scriptures to make sure that what Paul said was true. Also, in Hebrews 4:2 it warns us with: “The message they (Israel) heard was of no value to them because those who heard it did not combine it with faith.”

We must have faith; faith is nothing more than acting upon what God has said. “Faith comes from hearing the message.” When we act upon the Words of God conflict, ridicule and doubt will definitely come, the doubt that maybe I have misunderstood the Lord, or that he does not care. Sometimes He speaks so softly that in our busy lifestyles we cannot hear Him. We must keep our right impression of God and stay focused upon what He said. He will not let us be fail as long as we hold to what He says and do all that is required of us.

God has been testing us, some more than others, to show us that the things and systems of this world will not satisfy us or prosper us. The only thing that is important is doing the will of God and living by every one of His Words.

Here is what I believe God would have us do in preparation for what is coming.

TAKING ACTION:

We need to get out of the world’s systems:

The Credit system: It is set up to enslave you for life. The biblical way of ‘loaning’ was that every 7 years all debts were to be forgiven and every 50 years all property was given back to you that you had used for collateral. God designed it this way so that you had an end of being in bondage to someone.

Education: We are to teach and train up our own children and to remind them of what God has done and what God will do based on what we hear from Him. This is not what we have in public education today where God is being taken out of everything and Jesus is not allowed to be publicly recognized or praised.

Religion:  Jesus never invented religion or taught that religion was important, but simply said, “I come to give you life, and life abundant.”  There seems a way that is right to religious people, but it is deceptive and leads away from the truth; even to destruction. A personal relationship with Jesus Christ begins with repentance, and then is built up by daily feeding on His written Word that you know Him and His ways, and praying with faith as to what He has directly said, and having communion with other disciples to remember and praise Him for what He did for us. Beware of forgetting or rejecting any one of these.

We need to return to true worship of God:

The world will try and make fools and idiots out of those who worship and follow Jesus Christ. We need to be prepared for this and display the power of God that has been granted to us through His indwelling Spirit.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.  People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,  without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,  treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.”

We need to literally prepare for what is coming:

Enough water stored for at least 3 months

Water filtration system that can take polluted water and make it clean

Homes need to be energy efficient

Homes built so that they can withstand disaster

Store natural seeds for growing food

Store supplies of canned and dried food

Know how to use and have medicines

Keep discreet communication with others throughout the world

Stay up on any new laws that can be used against us

Pray together and stand firm in the LORD because we will be persecuted

We need to share what we are doing with others of like-mindedness:

Some Christians will not want to accept what is being shared because they do not think they will go through any of the judgments of God. They have been misled in thinking the rapture will come to take us out of this world before all of this happens. Read the book of Exodus and find that the first three judgments from God were also felt by the Israelites. It was at the fourth that God said I will make a distinction. Remember that faithful Noah kept moving forward with what God called him to do in the midst of persecution, ridicule, and opposition. Noah and his family were saved and well-kept because of what they built beforehand by the Word of the Lord.

Be careful with whom you share this with because what we say and do will be used against us to put fear in us and ruin the work at hand. A good example was Nehemiah and you can read all about it on your own in the book of Nehemiah.

OUR TIME FRAME FOR WHAT WE NEED TO DO as revealed to me:

7 years of opportunity             2010 – 2017

7 years of hardship                  2018 – 2025

7 years of great tribulation       2026 – 2033

Here is a condensed account of Revelation chapter 4 – 10 results:

After the LORD speaks to His 7 churches the 7 Seals are opened:

  1. White Horse: False peace
  2. Red Horse: Take peace with the sword, war and slaughter
  3. Black Horse: Inflation
  4. Pale Horse: Death, ¼ of the earth’s population will be killed by sword, famine, disease and wild animals
  5. Martyrdom of Saints: because of the word of God and their faithful testimony
  6. Great earthquake: Affects
    1. Light, the sun, moon and stars
    2. Stars fall to the earth
    3. Mountains and islands moved
    4. Sky rolled
    5. People will go into hiding in the mountains
    6. 144,000 Jews revealed
    7. Winds are held back
  7. Silence in Heaven and then the 7 Trumpet judgments are given

Prayers of God’s people are mixed with fire and thrown down upon the earth, resulting in thunder, lighting and terrible earthquakes.

Seven Trumpet Judgments:

1st-Hail & Fire with blood resulting in 1/3 of the earth burned up.

2nd-Great Mountain of fire thrown into the sea, resulting in 1/3 of sea water becoming blood.

1/3 of all in the sea die, 1/3 of ships on the water destroyed

3rd-Great star fell resulting in 1/3 of all fresh water becoming bitter

4th-1/3 of sun, moon, and stars fails to give the light

5th-Star that has already fallen gives way to the bottomless pit

    • Locust come upon the earth with the power to sting those who are not marked with God’s seal
    • Durations is 5-months
    • King’s name is Abaddon, Apollyon or Destroyer

       6th-4-bound angels released

    • By the Euphrates river
    • Army of 200 million
    • Colors they use are fiery red, dark blue and yellow
    • Weapons have fire, smoke and burning sulfur
      • Power in their mouths and tails
      • Head like a snake
    • Worship at this time will be in
      • Demons
      • Idols
      • Witchcraft
      • Extreme sexual immorality
      • Greed to the max; thefts of every kind imaginable; nothing that you own belongs to you

Right before the 7th Trumpet sounds – the rapture takes place. I feel it is important to say here that I was taught growing up in the church that the rapture of the church comes before the judgments. That would mean the rapture takes place in Revelation 4:1-2 which says:

“After this I (John) looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, ‘Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.’ At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it.”

I do not believe this is speaking of the rapture of the Church, but rather John’s personal experience of seeing what is to come so that the Church would be prepared. Concerning the rapture of the Church I have included for your review the very Scriptures that I was shown why I believe the church will go through the first 10 chapters of Revelation.

Revelation 10:3-8: “He gave a loud shout like the roar of a lion. When he shouted, the voices of the seven thunders spoke. And when the seven thunders spoke, I (John) was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven say, ‘Seal up what the seven thunders have said and do not write it down.’ Then the angel I had seen standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven. And he swore by him who lives for ever and ever, who created the heavens and all that is in them, the earth and all that is in it, and the sea and all that is in it, and said, ‘There will be no more delay!’ But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets.”

1 Corinthians 15:51-53: “Listen, I tell you a mystery: ‘We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.’”

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18: “Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.”

Jesus warns His Church about what they (we) will endure and to not be deceived. (Matthew 24:4-41)

To illustrate my point concerning the incorrect timing of the rapture of the Lord’s Church it is like a long distance runner who has trained all of his life for his race. All of his work and sacrifice came to naught because he stopped 10 yards short of the finish line. In his mind he saw the finish line in a different place. I relate this to the Church today that has their eyes on the wrong finish line of Revelation chapter 4, when Revelation chapter 10 is our finish line. They will not be ready and prepared for what they will have to endure before the Lord calls them up.
